Gray coated surface etching

Mark is placed on a gray coated surface.  Gray background material appears to have been scuffed or scraped very near the left side of the etched mark causing non-uniform contrast on one side.  Laser marking does not appear as "deep" or dark as other samples.  Our LDS optics were able to read this with no problems.
