The code on this component is laser etched into a glossy copper plate.  We were able to decode this matrix very easily with our M3 optic.  We were able to decode it with out V2 as well but had better results with the M3.

The following images are captures of what our scanner 'saw' when scanning the codes.  The one on the left is a grayscale image and the one on the right is a black and white image.  These were scanned with our M3 optic.
