Chrome with passivated etching

Chrome plated 11/32 box and open end wrench

- Human Readable Mark "A1234" 
- Encoded Information "A1234 OEX11B"

Sample has 2 etchings - both appear to have had the surface passivated to reduce shiny surface finish near area of etching.  Codes appear to have slightly rectangular elements (taller than wide by at least 15%) and some non-uniformity of darkness of the bars on both codes.  We were able to read these codes with no problems.

The following images are captures of what our scanner 'saw' when scanning the codes.  The one on the left is a grayscale image and the one on the right is a black and white image.
